Support Judah + Eisley

Eisley - 2nd place in Market

Judah - 1st place in Market

Sherlock Hams - 274 lbs

Mercy Watson - 246 lbs

Both pigs auction on FRIDAY

Because both kids placed in the top two positions in their respective market classes, they will be part of the Champions Auction on Friday evening. That means they will auction their animals a day earlier than normal: Friday, May 24th from 4-8 pm.

Meet Mercy Watson (246 lbs)

Hello! My name is Eisley Kramer. I am 10 years old and this is my third time raising and showing a gilt with Biggs 4-H. I live on a walnut farm in East Biggs. I was born with a very rare genetic condition that makes my body a little different. I am so proud of raising Mercy Watson. I get more and more confident each time. I named Mercy Watson after my favorite book series by Kate DiCamillo. You should definitely read it!

I hand-feed Mercy and give her supplements two times every day. Every day, my brother and I work hard to feed, walk, oil, and brush our pigs Mercy Watson and Sherlock Hams. They fought when we first brought them home from MRC Farms, but now they are best buds. They are good little detectives. Their meat will be the best because they are being finished on walnuts! Final weight est. 250 lbs.

I chose to only raise one hog this year because the heat is hard on my body and the pigs. I hope you will come to the Silver Dollar Fair and see Mercy Watson. She’s so lovely.

Meet Sherlock Hams (274 lbs)

Hi! My name is Judah Kramer. I am 12 years old and I will finish 6th grade at Sycamore Middle next month. I live on a walnut farm in East Biggs. I am an avid reader and named my barrow Sherlock Hams after the detective series.

I hand-feed and supplement Sherlock twice daily. Each afternoon, I walk, oil, and brush my hog. I also do all of the mucking because it’s tricky for Eisley to navigate. Sherlock had a tough adjustment when we first brought him home from MRC Farms. Mercy was definitely the alpha and she wanted Sherlock to know it. It took a good 10 days, but he holds his own and has now surpassed Mercy in size. We are finishing our hogs on our farmgrown walnuts. It will make the meat extra tender and flavorful! Est. 270 lbs.

I opted to participate in only one fair this year to give my hog my full attention. I look forward to showing off all of our hard work in the show ring at the Silver Dollar Fair.

Show day = May 22

Auction = FRIDAY, May 24 @ 4 pm

Because of how many animals are being shown and auctioned this year, they have split up the auction days. All animals who place 1st or 2nd in their market class will show Friday night (5/24). All other animals will be shown at the customary auction time Saturday morning (5/25). Because we don't know which day our kid's pigs will be auctioned, the best way for you to stay in the know is to put your name and email here and we will keep you informed:

Easy ways to be involved

Don't forget your cards

Eisley worked meticulously over several weeks to create truly stunning greeting cards. When we first offered them, they sold out quickly, and we're offering them again this one last time.
